We have a long and successful history of SCITT provision and our ITT provision was judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in March 2014

Initial Teacher Training

Through the Chiltern Training Group (CTG) we provide primary placements and secondary PGCE qualifications.

The Chiltern Training Group was founded in 1993 by Challney High School for Boys. It is a Consortium of Luton and Bedfordshire high and upper schools and the Luton Sixth Form College and has developed a comprehensive programme of initial teacher training and continuing professional development courses.

During March 2014 the Chiltern Training Group was judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted for ‘Overall Effectiveness’ and ‘Capacity to Improve’.

Train to Teach Events

We  organise 'Train to Teach' events across the academic year.  If you are interested in finding out about opportunities to gain a teaching qualification through our School Centred Initial Teacher Training Provider (SCITT) then please come and join us.

We will be providing information about the different routes into teaching and you will have the opportunity to speak to teaching experts and meet staff from a range of teaching schools.

We offer a full range of curriculum subjects across the 11-16 age group.
